Come and join our Upcoming Innovative Events

We are excited to announce a series of events that Bristol Braille Technology will be hosting in the coming months. These events aim to bring together enthusiasts and professionals in the field, providing opportunities for learning, collaboration, and community building. This initiative has been generously funded by Access: The Foundation for Social Investment and Resonance.

Tuesday, July 30th

Bristol Braille are teaming up with Sight and Sound to demonstrate the uses of the Canute Console for professionals and students. If you would like to attend please contact:

Saturday, August 17th

Brainstorming Session for Programmers
Due to the holiday season, this will be a smaller group session focused on brainstorming new ideas. Programmers are especially encouraged to attend and contribute.

Saturday, September 14th

Maps with Roger Firman
Roger Firman will be sharing his experiences with the Canute, including his work on developing space exploration tools for the Canute Console.

Saturday, October 5th

Requests from Attendees
This session will be dedicated to addressing requests from our attendees. E-Braille expert James Bowden, along with others, will be present to share insights.

Saturday, November 2nd

Resource Library Development
We will continue from previous events to gather materials that can be distributed to all existing Canute customers and new ones. The goal is to build a comprehensive resource library for everyone’s benefit.

Saturday, December 14th

Inaugural Canute Console Owners Annual Meal
We invite all Canute Console owners to a Christmas meal. Awards will be given to console owners for remarkable developments on their machines in Braille.
